Didn't see one started so here it is.

Congratulations on filing for a k-1 visa.

This forum will be helpful in your process. Many have info that can help you along the way.

If you haven't yet please fill out your timeline as it makes it much easier for people to assist with information specific to your beneficiary country.

Best advice that can be given. Stay busy and don't worry about things that you have no control over.

Current processing times have increased slightly. It's not taking between 6-8 months for approvals. Some maybe sooner some maybe later.

Good luck

Bj

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Hello,

So, I filed my I129F this week. I did check everything multiple times, I believe I have all the documents and yes, I agree with that line at the beginning "Stay busy and don't worry about things that you have no control over". In other words, do not worry about things you cannot change.

Best of luck

Welcome to the thread.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Generally speaking, watch your bank account, if you see $535 withdrawal via ACH, then US took your money and you should be getting your notification soon.

Hi! I am following this because I filed my petition last week of October and date of receipt is November 5, 2018. Yay! Now, I am with you all. Let’s pray that we will have a lot of patience until we get the NOA2. 😀

Was your check cashed? Did you send your package with the ability to trace and if so was it signed for? Those are the first two clues that your file arrived. Next will come the formal NOA1 which is 2-4 weeks from submittal.
