Was the beneficiary EVER in immigration proceedings?

Hello

 

I was in the process of K1, we got married, but I didn’t apply for a change of status documents and I had to go back to my country. Now we are applying for IR1.

In the form of I-130 there is a question: "Was the beneficiary EVER in immigration meetings?"

How should I answer it?

My understanding is that Immigration proceedings usually means removal proceedings which it's done before an immigration judge, or in an immigration court. If that happened to you, then you answer YES.
