Left-Wing Political Violence During the Trump Era

My question is why people seem to think that we should be reminded that violence and terrorist acts are bad.

 

It is common sense.

Are we just to assume people don't have common sense just because  the news and president forgot to remind them at they did a no-no? If so, we're in more trouble than just people being angry over some Facebook posts or whatnot.

We should have been discussing the root of the problem when the Bernie supporter shot up the congressional softball practice.  Instead we get Democrat leaders telling their supporters to get in the face of the GOP politicians and disrupt their lives.  Sure Trump is crass, but I don't remember hearing him tell his supporters to put his opponents lives in danger.

Not trying to start an argument, but you do remember when he told the guy that if he punched someone at his rally that he'd pay his legal fees, right?

It's not right for ANY of them to do it. I don't ignore it from either side. The president isn't a babysitter. Stop blaming the news and the politicians and just be decent people. Why is it that hard?

Like I said earlier, this nut job needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.  There are no excuses for his actions regardless of his political bent.  Sure, Trump has said some things, and I have been on the record for a long time that I think he should simply stay off Twitter.  I also said earlier that that this dialogue needed to start when the Bernie supporter attempted to assassinate the GOP congresspeople.  It has gotten out of hand on both sides, and the media has taken sides, but what else is new.

The dialogue has to be open with all sides admitting that the anger, personal attacks and childish rhetoric comes from all of us - not just the media. All incidents of violence against any political person, now matter how large or small, is absolutely unnecessary. We can't control that. We can, however, control the way we as normal people speak and treat each other. IMO, that is more important than worrying about what people we can't control are doing.

 

I certainly don't love everyone, but I'm trying. It is a draining time, for all of us.

It all started at the top, has been for the past three years. Trump set the tone, he's the President of the United States, he has to take some responsibility in the discourse. It's hilarious that he is blaming the mainstream media for all of this. He is the leader of our country, his intention since day one has been to divide this country not unite us. He has only pandered to his base, he doesn't care about 65% of the country.

If you look at it, you notice that the most recent posts are made AFTER his arrest. The last posts made are in Jan, and then 2017. It is likely that the page was hacked, or that it was made by someone who is mentally sick and was waiting for the next psycho to come along so they could play pretend and rile a bunch of people up.

If the media is biased, then they must be included in the media.  I saw many headlines labeling the person mailing these packages as the MAGABomber (certainly a play on the Unabomber as well as dig at Trump) before anything was known about this idiot.  This is highly irresponsible and adds to the fanning of any of the anger flames out there on both sides.  Trump should not get a pass, the Democrat leaders should not get a pass, and the biased media should not get a pass.
