Mine was a nothing exercise but then so was the Consulate interview.

Stokes interviews from the ones I have seen reported on here, have never come across a real person who had one, are both unusual and have a reason.

We had a stokes for our AOS from K1 but I think it was an educational opportunity for the CO as she had only been on the job a couple of months. We had a lot of evidence and the CO was quite cordial to both throughout the interviews, Stressful but we nailed it

We had our AOS interview last week, adjusting from a  K-1. While I don't think that in itself decreases scrutiny, the IO said she reviewed what we sent already. We were in and out in 5 min with an approval, and that's with us chatting about her kids' drawings on the walls for a minute + asking questions of the IO for another minute. The actual interview was just a couple minutes. It was very pleasant. I can't imagine most people doing AOS from other visa types having such a smooth ride unless they were together long enough within the US to have a good chunk of evidence to submit beforehand.

The point is that we had a decent chunk of evidence to submit beforehand + was already scrutinized by a CO. Doing AOS from other visa types may not offer quite as many opportunities (without overstay, or being on a visa that permits temporary residency).

My AOS interview was also super easy and at the end the officer and my husband were talking about Star Wars (I'm serious). My K1 interview was also pretty easy, no Star Wars involved though.

I feel soo lucky I only had 2 interviews through my immigration both involved just me 1 at my K-1 interview ..i didn't have any others until my Naturalization interview.

But at my K-1 interview I was so busy trying to remember everything in my head that I had forgotten the date of my second visit with my wife (fiance then)

but had everything else she asked me even said it was alright I couldnt remember the date.

I understand missing something because of nerves or tiredness or whatever but not too much.

Time to start taking it more seriously
