Looking for hotel in Nairobi for medicals and visa interview

My mother will be attending his medical and interview in Nairobi. I am looking for an affordable hotel that is nice and safe. Does anyone who recently traveled  to Nairobi on same reason know of such place? She will be travelling to Nairobi this Sunday October 28th, 2018. I am envisioning something below $50. She and her son will be there for over a week for medicals and interview all in one shot. We are on a tight budget and looking for really affordable but safe place within easy commute to IOM and Embassy. It’s hard for me being that I am from Uganda and not familiar with Nairobi.

Any leads and help will be much appreciated
