How long can we delay the interview?

Hi guys. My fiance (the petitioner) is not yet financially ready for me to show his finances for the interview. After the packet reaches the USEM Manila, how long can we delay to schedule the interview?

You will have 4 months from the NOA2 approval to adjudicate your case at USEM. Extensions in 4 month increments can be granted by the Embassy up to one year. The reason for the extension must be strong. Each embassy is different but USEM seems to be a little more lenient.

 

Maybe I can help shed some light on the issue is with his financials. If you want to PM me here on VJ we can discuss if there are some options for your situation.

Exactly as above. The NOA2 is valid for 4 months and the embassy can extend it. Manila (USEM) is more than just  a little lenient on this IMO. :P
