Its up to the CO and sometimes they don't  ask for the affidavit of support or even other documents that you think they will ask for.

Filed everything ourselves with no RFE's or delays.

 

CR1 for Child under 21 (20 at time of filing)- Filed by LPR Spouse for his son

10/14/21 (havent heard anything... when do i start to get worried?)

9/15/22 APPROVED! Now to wait for NVC and interview....

Oh good! I thought so too but just in the off case that they forgot or something... I really wouldn't want it to be delayed because of that

Then you are approved and you should start thinking about your next steps. One would not be buying a airline ticket till the passport and visa are in your hands and you have looked it over for errors. Not uncommon that a visa has a name missing or not spelled correctly. Just saying.

Still got my master degree to finish. Should be done by January. Medical expires early March so we´re good! :)

I self sponsored, thought it would be a big deal and they were uninterested, a quick glance at a spreadsheet and moved on.

 

I 134 has no legal standing so I assumed that was why.

They will ask you for the I 864 affidavit. If they don’t ask for that one then that would be very weird.

The I-864 is only used during the AOS after marriage step. Never used prior (Embassy interview) to marriage and the filing of the AOS.
