Hi,

From our experience, we submitted copies of our expired life insurances as well before when my work has ended as it shows our names together with our span of two year marriage. What’s important I think is that for the consul to see your names together or co mingling of anything together whether a property or gym membership, condo rental, bills for that span of your marriage as that is what they want to find out. I suggest you just placed the expired insurance cards as the dates it started and ended but not write a letter. You can add a present one if you also have one. Hope this helps. You’re almost there just keep the faith .  Regards.

If both of your names are not listed there I don’t think it’s helpful. It can be optional if you really want to submit it but to me the important for the consul is finding if both of your names are listed there.

It is best to submit tax transcripts.  You can go to IRS.gov to order them.  Tax transcripts PROVE you filed taxes, and also proves HOW you filed (see below).

If you are submitting tax returns, you will need to submit the complete return(s), the W-2s that support income (for each return), or, if you have significant non-wage income, the 1098s and/or 1099s that support that income.  What is important for the I-751 is to show 1) that you filed, and 2) HOW you filed (married, filing separately, or, married, filing joint).  It is not advantageous to submit BOTH tax transcripts AND tax returns.  It just adds paper.

You do not need anything from H&R. Your IRS transcriptions are enough.

I agree on @Sukie I only submitted the transcripts from IRS and it was totally fine. USCIS only wants to know if you're filing together and filing taxes every year.

The IRS changed the format of these transcripts this year to be more secure.  Any agency, like USCIS, that often deals with these will be able to match your information with the transcripts.

You may fill in the I-751 online, then print it, and then write in anything you need in black ink.

No, you can fill it out online then print it out and sign it. I know I did this for my wife's AOS and ROC without issues.
