i was also outside the embassy for my husband's 1st CR1 and it was my 3rd trip (one month,  2 months and 3 months)

he was still denied

you are dealing with a high fraud country

http://mypathtocitizenship.com/which-countries-are-on-the-uscis-high-fraud-list/

you will have to go thru a lot of face time visits

you should marry there

and it will be a hard and long process

ours was a total of 6 years (applied 1st for K1 in 2009)

visa in 2015

many of us do this

many of us get frustrated

but there are guidelines the embassy has to follow

this is for the protection of USC and our country

good luck

stick it out for your loved one and u can make it

we are now on the road to my husband's citzenship

wow!! I would lose my mind

Perhaps I need to go back and read past posts.

You were in a relationship for a year, where?

Seems like it was not Pakistan, Why not interview there, anyway what is done is done and I would concur CR1 is the way to go.

Pakistan is not geographically part of MENA, part of the sub continent but shares the same traits for our purpose.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

The problem is I can't go and live with her. I'm a single parent and need to be in US all times.

I maybe able to get 4-8 days a year to visit her...

How did you spend a year together?

@ImejSorry to hear this. It is really painful to wait this long and have the visa refused.

It might be difficult but there have been lots of successful K-1 visas in Pak. Also, I don't think Pak is part of Mena.

This forum has good feedback from the Paki VJ members. Were you able to read them and prepare your fiance for the interview?

If you invest time in your relationship, yes.
