How should my son apply for driver’s license when the I-751 is pending?

My son will be reaching the age to apply for driver’s license, but at that time his conditional green card will be expired. We have filed the I-751 to remove the condition including his status.

I just received NOA1 (extension letter), but in this letter there is only my name on it as a beneficiary. How to prove my son’s legal status when he apply for his driver’s license in the near future?

Did USCIS forget to issue another extension letter for my son or forget to add my son's name on the extension letter? I don’t think DMV staff understand that my son’s case is included in my I-751 petition.

What should we do?

Any suggestion is appreciated, thank you!

Can you take him to an infopass and explain your situation with your i-797 and get an i-551 stamp in his passport?

Agreed. An Infopass is how I would initially approach the situation.

Infopass is a good idea.

I'm in a similar situation with my stepson.  What is an Infopass?
