Hello,

We applied for k1 visa (NOA 1 - June 6th) and I have a question about vaccination. I was born in Hungary, I am dual citizen and applied for k1 from Canada. I don`t have the vaccination record but I did a blood test and I have proof that I got MMR and Chickenpox vaccinations. Question: Should I go to my family doctor to get the rest of vaccinations or wait for medical exam? I would appreciate any help or advice. Thank you very much!

I would get them done by your own doctor just because it will be less expensive that way.

Yup get them done at your family doctor because it'll be free. If you wait until the medical for the T-Dap, as I did, it's an extra $40. Make sure they give you the right one - most doctors keep the simple Tetanus shot in stock, but they might have to order T-Dap. Luckily you have plenty of time still. Good luck!

Your doctor or local health unit should be able to give you the tdap.

Thank you for your answers!

I have no proof that I received Hepatitis A and B, Meningococcal, Pneumococcal and Rotavirus. Should I get these too with my family doctor? Thank you

Hmm depending on your age you may not need those! I didn't...Check the vaccination guidelines carefully to see whether your age group needs all those ones
