Hello everyone,

After receiving case number from NVC, I completed my DS-160, Medical exam, I-134, paid the fee, Scheduled the Interview on 17th October.

As few days left, I heard about Packet 3 (which is a set of Instruction from Embassy to follow). My attorney already gave that set of instructions to follow after getting the case number. The only missing document is that embassy declare

that they have received your case from NVC. (My case on CEAC shows "Ready" from In transit). I am super concerned that the embassy will send me back without attending the interview. If you guys have any info kindly guide me. I will be thankful.

Regards

Can you tell me how you paid the 265 and scheduled the interview online? Did you have to wait til case was ready status on ceac?

I was sent back from embassy last month because they had not sent me an email called Packet 3. I had to reschedule the interview.

If you did everything in the P3, with the exception of scheduling the interview, do you think you will still have been turned away even though you scheduled the interview after the receiving the P3 from the embassy?

Do you have a copy of the P3 from UAE that you can share. I like to share those P3's ahead with those who come behind you so they are aware of what is expected. I am gong to use your answer to my question to advise others so they don't make the same mistake. Thank you.

Some embassy's like to control every step of the process. So for now I think you will have to wait for P3 and then reschedule your interview.

Can you change your profile to reflect the country in which you are going to process your visa in. You mention Abu Dhabi so that would be the flag that appears on your profile. This helps us to be accurate in our reply's to your questions.

Unfortunately you will have to wait for the email. Check your spam folder as it has been know to appear there. Here is information on AD process.

Don't do anything in advance until the case is ready at embassy and the embassy sends you an email to the petitioner to follow these steps for Scheduling interview, Medical exam, police clearance etc.

Each embassy is different. Each embassy's P3 letter is different. You would be making a HUGE mistake if you were to receive a P3 letter from another embassy. The best link for you is Hank's website listed below where he will walk you through step by step for the Philippines.

Manila US Embassy states that a scanned copy of the signed I-134 is fine, if you don't have the original.
