It it all depends on the local customs. I am from the U.K. and 8 years younger than my husband. That has always seemed like a big age gap to me. But in other countries age gaps of 20 years and more are not unusual.

I also agree. Our 11 year age gap was big to me as well.

everywhere ive looked ive seen big age difference is flag to consulars, along with different cultures, languages, and religious beliefs.  but i figured age difference as 20+years.

Age difference is usually not an issue in Manila. The difference is this involves an older woman with a younger man which may draw some attention just because it is rare there. Also the man is young, 22 I think. You should be fine there if you have proof of relationship. Good Luck!!!

I agree. I wanted to say that I read somewhere that places like the Philippines, its customary for a younger woman to marry an older man so there is no question about age gap, but the other way around is seen as a caution because it rarely happens. But right, ultimately good proof of relationship will be the best way to get approved.
