N-400 October 2018 Filers

Question for everyone filing their N400 online. How many documents does it allow you to upload? I was told by a friend who works for an immigration attorney that front loading the application is always best practice. I did this with hubby's GC application and the two year card was approved without interview. Did the same for 751, but we all know THAT is a hot mess. Just wondering how much I can upload online. Fast processing so far.

 

N-400 was received at Phoenix Lockbox on October 1. Biometrics is scheduled for October 26. I thought it was supposed to take much longer. Would be nice if the rest of the process is this fast, but probably not.

Nothing complicated?  Seriously? Well, good for you... For me it turned to be a sickening experience - "this file is too big,,, that file is in the wrong format"... After struggling for 3-4 hours, I gave up in disgust. I am filing in paper. 

I am  still  thinking, I can follow the instruction and only mail my husband's Green card copy and our marriage certificate. Anyone up for it?

there is a very simple . to which only you know the answers . I served everything myself and see no problem. if you are in doubt, it is better to submit in writing. and people who filed in the paper version usually wait for citizenship twice as long . Good luck

I guess we all have different experiences filing "ONLINE".  Which for me I never had a problem too.

 

According to =Nikolas2017=, noting is complicated which is true.  My understanding about the "Files to be attached" is the right format "PDF" and also the file size.  Some of the scanners have different option like "Text and Graph" which is clear and slightly colored but it creates a bigger file while "Monochrome Text" not so clear but in smaller size around less than 3500 KB. 

 

I guess "ONLINE" application is very convenient.  No need to worry about loosing documents if sent by mail.

Congrats. You did it. I did a full run through yesterday. Going just next from the beginning and using the edit to make sure all the info inside those boxes is correct. I had to wait for my current husbands divorce degree to come in mail. He didn't know his divorce date, but then neither do I with my first marriage. As I am getting older, I drink more tea, but remember less. I wish the useful stuff stayed in the brain, but no, always those weird snippets that pop up. Useless. 

Since I been in the planning stages of filing, I just started to remember stuff from 20 years ago I had not once thought about.

My Biometrics is scheduled too on October 26, and I'll try to do it earlier - walk-in on Monday (I'm in Seattle).  Not sure if they allow it but I will try anyway.

Hello everyone, I am filing the N400 online and hoping to be an October filer. It was going smoothly and I was uploading evidence, but now all of the sudden in the "Evidence about your marriage" is not letting me upload anything! It was working fine 5minutes prior. I thought maybe there was a max amount of files I could upload, so I deleted one that I had already uploaded, but now it's not letting me re-upload it. All my files are under 6MB. If I upload them to a different section ("Additional evidence you want to provide" for example) it works. Has anyone else had this issue?
