Hello All I'm mew to this site. This thread inspired me to sign up instead of just lurking in the shadows lol. I have sent my 129F petition for my Dominican fiance on 10/05/2018 and they cashed my check on 10/12/2018. That is all I have for now. Haven't received the first Notice Of Action as yet but I'm expecting it to arrive soon. I feel pretty good about the paperwork we submitted. We covered everything on their checklist. This forum along with DR1 was also a huge help researching how and what to send before we submitted it all. I hope this process takes less than a year!

Hi everyone --

We mailed our i-129f on Friday, October 19th. It is due to arrive at the Texas lockbox today, Monday October 22nd.

We've decided today, that reading posts (anywhere else but here) about the K1 visa process from Egypt, is so nerve wracking and discouraging, that we should not do that anymore. Neither of us like things that are not for sure. It's so frustrating that because of the people out there commiting visa and marriage fraud, it harms the chances for those of us all that aren't trying to defraud anyone. We just want to be together. The waiting is tolerable... it is the uncertainty that eats us alive.  Are there any other October 2018 filers for their fiance's in Egypt? I need to commiserate... lol.

Good luck everyone! :)

Use the tools here in VJ to answer "when I am going to get etc. etc." question and possibly find others like yourself. Near your picture, there is a link to your timeline. Select it and once you're on the next page near your picture you will see "follow similar timelines" and it will populate 12 other couples who are near your dates. Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement for when others from your Embassy are getting the same notice of approval or action.  Try it. It really works!

And if you want to follow those from other countries that have similar timelines as yours there are several tools available to you. Go up to Immigration Timelines on the blue ribbon above and select it. Once you are on the next page looked to your left and you will see a box that states, "find similar timelines" and select it. A list will populate with those who are processing close to your timeline. When they start to change you will soon be behind them.

I followed those that were in my group to give me an idea where they were in processing so I could judge if I was ahead or behind.  It's pretty accurate, maybe within a day or so.

If you choose to follow those twelve members then you will get an email every time their status updates.

Did you fill in G-1145? Notification of acceptance? If not, the NOA1 takes around 10 days to arrive my mail. Most people on here are quoting their NOA1 time as the day they receive a text from USCIS.

for example, our package arrived on Thursday 11th Oct, received the text on the 17th and only got the NOA1 paper copy in the mail today.

It’s strange you haven’t heard anything on the G-1145, but not unusual. If the USPS tracking says it got there then it got there. Give it some time and I’m sure you’ll receive something. If you haven’t had anything but tuesday Nov 20 then the petitioner should give them a call.

We paid with a USPS money order which I don’t think is traceable or the MOIS is awful and doesn’t work.

If USPS said they delivered it to the PO Box then they have it - take in mind it was delivered on the 18th, so probably not picked up until Friday 19th. So it probably only got to someone’s desk yesterday. Expect a text this week and a NOA1 by mail around the end of next week.

edit: our application arrived in Dallas on Thursday 11th, picked up Friday 12th and we received our text on Wednesday 17th. It seems that you are exactly a week behind me so you should get a text Wednesday by that logic.
