I'm going to try to get more information about the proxy and more.

Double-proxy is also an option in your case (of course USCIS' definition of "consummation" still applies) because of Montana state law (MCA 40-1-301.4):

Quote

(4) One party to a proxy marriage must be a member of the armed forces of the United States on federal active duty or a resident of Montana at the time of application for a license and certificate pursuant to 40-1-202. One party or a legal representative shall appear before the clerk of court and pay the marriage license fee. For the purposes of this subsection, residency must be determined in accordance with 1-1-215.

But it is pricey: https://www.proxymarriage.com/double-proxy-marriage

Generally yes, but the deployment can be considered as residing in the US to meet this requirement, IIRC. I usually defer on the military questions. :P

The consul said that the petitioner of the K1 doesn't need to be in the USA when I arrive. I asked it because we ended up having two different flights (he already had his return ticket) a couple days away from each other, so I arrived earlier. CBP didn't ask about the petitioner at all.

Hey!
I didn't read all now, but I would try to extend the validity of the K1 based on his orders. Maybe with delaying everything and a little extension you'll get there.

It's a 6 months deployment? So no mid tour I guess! :(  Otherwise I'd have said get married stateside when he's on mid tour.

Good luck!

I think pushing out the interview date is by far the best option.  This is murky, untested territory for everyone replying and I see potential risk.  Also consider you would need to be dependent on someone else for food and housing the entire time and you'll be very bored and isolated.

Do this.  It is the simplest/easiest/safest way.

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

Yes, the easiest thing to do is just delay the interview. As long as you you communicate with the embassy and they extend your petition, that's easy to do. I delayed my interview a couple of months for work reasons and it wasn't an issue.

Also, you have time to marry 90 days after entry. You can enter the US close to your visa expiration date and then wait a for a few weeks for your fiance to be back to the country.
