Can someone tell me if its OK to upload relationship pictures and marriage pictures of me and my wife and any other relevant document on the optional document drop down below??...thanks

You could but to be honest, I do not think they care, at this stage, they may only review the required documents.  Additional evidences can be brought to the interview day.

Added: the photo they refer to should be passport picture.

Yeah it is not specific about what it wants. We uploaded a passport sized photo of the beneficiary for "Photos" and then under the supplemental area, we uploaded some relationship pictures. We got a CC without a checklist so I guess that was acceptable.

Please what is a CC?

My case is just NOA1 stage but I helped many cases in the past, recently were my parents-in-law case (already in US): only provided required documents to NVC.

Some consular officers might not ask for pictures do you think its better to show while answering questions to convince the CO?

If you are worrying then just upload them, at least it will help you ease your mind but only with selected evidences - quality vs quantity.

Just want to add: I work in engineering consulting industry so I normally use the thinking at work to reason (if I ask for something and people provide me with lot of additional stuff, I normally just ignore), it has been good so far, in the past a few years, I helped around 50 cases (different type of Visa) and only one case required DNA test as there was no document like birth certificate/household (family) book (this is a big deal in some countries) to show the relationship.

That sounds good and if you specifically have any photos of you meeting her family or her meeting yours, that's good stuff. As long as you have lots of evidence that you have an ongoing relationship and see each other often you should be fine!

Yes, the interview was in August and it went very well, but we did have to send in certified translations of some documents. We didn't know they needed to be certified, so make sure you do that if you have anything in a language other than English and the local one. Just got the visa in the mail today.
