The USCIS site clearly states only appointment letter and identification so we were taking that his passport and his driving license. Is this really all? No hidden surprise we need this or this or this. Kinda nervous about going up there. Ours is in Atlanta and has mixed reviews. Some say it's nice, some say it's horrible.

Appointment letter and ID should be all that is needed.....no reason to be nervous.

I've been to three biometrics and nothing more to do than identify yourself (photo ID) and let them see you have an appointment and scan barcodes off the letter.

My husband's name didn't change mine did. I'm the US citizen. All he took was his passport and appointment letter.
