I got an RFE in the mail today needing 2017 tax returns. This was rather fast as I onky just got the noa1 Aug 28th! But weird thing is, that I sent 2015-2017 tax returns and a cooy of my 2017 W2 but apparently they must have lost it or something. Guess I make another copy of the copies I had made haha. I remember the Korean embassy took my tax info but guess theydont share it.

Sorry to hear that you received an RFE.😲

Sometimes stuff can get lost during their processing. It is not very uncommon. Like you said sending another copy of all the tax returns would be a great idea.

I believe embassies are maintained by DOS and USCIS is maintained by DHS both are two different branches of government. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't communicate with each other much.🙄

Hopefully everything goes smooth for you from here onwards. Good Luck 👍

Sorry to hear that you were requested an RFIE from USCIS.

I believe it is a good practice to submit all the documents pertaining to I-864.

Which might be including but not limited to:

1) Tax returns for the last 3 years, (Sponsor and Co-sponsor)

2) W-2's, (Sponsor and Co-sponsor)

3) paystubs for the last 6 months , (Sponsor and Co-sponsor)

4) Completely filed, Signed and dated Form I-864 (Please use the latest revision mentioned in your RFIE. And also each sponsor/Co-sponsor gets to file their own I-864. You are allowed to have more than one Co-sponsor. So each of them has to file a I-864)

5) Proof of your Sponsor/ Co-Sponsor's Citizenship or Lawful status in the U.S.

I believe these might be some of the helpful documents to go along with the Form I-864. But apart from the above mentioned documents, please include any other documents you might feel required.

Good Luck with your AOS processing.

Hello @Jemilyn welcome to the group. :)

My PD is June 1st and my EAD combo card got approved on Sept. 24th after 115 days. And timeline looks similar for most of the VJ members.

So I believe unless you expedite your EAD by showing a job offer or financial difficulty, I guess your EAD might be approved, around last week of October or first week of November according to most of the VJ timelines.

I know it can get boring while just waiting and nothing happening around. Trust me once your EAD or GC is approved it gets a lot better and you would want to have some time to relax instead of job hunting or working. Lol 😁

I wish you all the best for your AOS journey. 😁
