Hi all,

Can anyone help us? We are trying to figure out the process of obtaining a police clearance from South Africa. My fiancé lived there for a period of time. He is not a citizen of there and no longer lives in that country. We are trying to figure out how to obtain the police clearance. He has completed the fingerprints and can send them via DHL there, but DHL said they don't pick up from there and therefore won't send a return envelope. We can't figure out how to get them from the SAPS when it is complete (since he cannot pick them up). Help!!! Also, do they need the apostille? I'm not familiar with that process, but I don't want the clearance to not be valid. Thanks for any advice!

I have used DocAssist in the past to get my birth certificate from SA.  They also do police clearance.  They were super helpful when I worked through them!  http://www.docassist.co.za/police-clearances/  I hope this helps.

Hi everyone.  My fiancé lives in the Gambia and needs a police report from Nigeria, which is where he was born and lived most of his life.  Does anyone know how he can get his police report from Nigerian without traveling all the way to Lagos, Nigeria?  I would truly appreciate.

Do you mind sharing about how much they charge?  My mom used to live in Monrovia, Liberia until she was maybe 16-17 years old and will need a police clearance for NVC. She is 70 now and hasn’t gone back since then.

I can't remember the exact total but it was around R900.
