Any tips to get difficult to find vaccines?

We did the k1 so I’m unsure if medical differs from cr1... Haiti did not have the varicella vaccine and I believe when they completed the medical they checked off not available.

 

When my now husband cake to the states and had to submit the rest of medical for AOS we went to the civil surgeon who said he could either get the vaccine or they could do a titer which will show if you have the antibodies or not. My husband was unsure if he had the chicken pox before so we just went for the vaccine. If the titer came back neg we would have also had to pay for both blood work and the vaccine. Not everyone here gets how a country could run out of vaccines ..not all countries are the same. In my opinion those that come from most European countries have a much easier experience and don’t realize what a hassle some “simple” things are.

Exactly. Not everyone lives in a rich first world country, and when it’s hard enough some places to even get vaccines against far more serious or life threatening diseases, things like varicella are often far down the list of priorities.
