Can my parents file a petition without me knowing?

I’m not a citizen yet but plan on it as soon as possible. However, I am concerned about whether my parents can file a petition or AOS for their green card through me without knowing.

I have no contact with them but I mean obviously my parents have enough information about me to fill out a petition in my name. Is this something I should be potentially worried about at all?

hi

theoretically they could but they would have to get paperwork from you

they probably could get a copy of your birth certificate. the tricky part would be proof of being a USC

you aren't yet, but they would need a copy of your naturalization certificate or copy of your US passport, because only USC can file for parents

Unlikely as they would need documents from you that I would think only you would have.

Would they be able to request it from immigrations because they are my parents? I would assume yes but I’m not sure at all.

Even if they get all your paperwork you still need to sign those papers. Not to mention proofs of financial sponsorship like paychecks or tax returns. I don't think they can get that without you.

If they forge all your signatures and other stuff they would be in huge troubles (because stuff like this eventually comes up) and they would get their green cards revoked and kicked out of the country.

hi

nope, not even you can do that

if you lost your certificate you would need to file a form and pay for a replacement

so the only way would be going to your home and stealing it or getting the  certificate or passport and taking pictures of them on their phones, I don't think they would be capable of that

that probably would only happen in the movies

you can be cautious but I wouldn't obsess about it, it would be very unlikely that they would do such a thing

don't get paranoid about it

and that's only for proof of citizenship, but then as said comes the sponsorship, the financial documents, taxes, paystubs, and other evidence. there is a lot of documents that they need from you aside from the birth certificate

No they cant just get a copy of your passport or naturalization certificate just because they're your parents.  Even you would have to jump through hoops, pay fees and send forms, to get those items.

Just read an article this morning about parents who were drug addicts and dealers in front of their children as they grew up. Now OP is conjecturing whether his/her parents might actually steal their child's identity.

And people criticize millenials for not taking responsibility.

I am curious what makes the OP worried about such a scenario.
