Hi everyone!

I’m sure this question is one of the most popular on this website but I wanted to get responses from people who have gone through the K-1 visa process. I’ve heard it can take anywhere from 4-9 months.

How long did the process take you in total?

Right now, from submitting of the I-129f, through USCIS and NVC and embassy (each country time wise will vary abit) it is looking 8-10 months... it could be little faster or slower (RFE's and such maybe come into play).

Will it stay this speed? Maybe. Maybe it will speed up, or it might slow even over the next 4-5 months. It's hard to tell; but right now 8-10 months for actual K-1 visa in hand probably is reasonable.

The UK FORUM on this website is frequented by those who recently interviewed or will soon. You can check out the stories and progress or look at their timelines. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/

Some London timelines. The very bottom will say how may days from their petition to interview day. Then 7-10 more days to get the visa sent out.
