DS-160 Tourist Visa applied

Hi. I have applied for a tourist visa here in the US consulate in Dublin, Ireland.

I was a bit surprised that during my interview, they did not take any of my

supporting documents - not even my proof of finance and letter of employment.

they just took my passport and that's it.

 

I told them that Ive had a prior Immigrant visa application ten years ago but have not

pursued it because it took so long that i could not wait for it anymore. 

 

now I'm worried that I would be denied. any thoughts?

The decisions pretty much made before you arrive for the interview

They already knew about your previous immigration application.. they were looking for your truthful disclosure

They kept your passport... usually means you are approved... did they not tell you.. did you not ask? 

Hi. thank you for the reply. I did ask them and they said that it's fine, that I dont need to give them my papers. I just find it weird. but thank you! will update the thread when I get the result. :)

They have your passport..  you will get it back very soon with the visa in it..

you are right! got my passport yesterday afternoon and im granted ten  year multiple visa!! you saved me from 3 nights of unnecessary worrying. lol. thanks again XD
