Plus, this trip would be more to visit my boyfriend that I have been dating since 5 months but I know him since 3 years.

I think this is the key point. I would tell them you are traveling to visit a boyfriend and that the two of you plan to file a K1 in the future.

On my third visa interview, I told them I am flying to visit my fiancee, whom I plan to marry and file for CR-1/IR-1 afterwards, and the officer approved me for my B2 visa for ten years

Even if they decline you, your attempt to visit your boyfriend will be beneficial for the K1 application :)

I hope it goes well for you!

Thank you for your response!

Do you remember what kind of tie you had when you applied for this visa? :)

Because looking at this travel history, looks like I overstayed but I never did.

Again, no, it doesn’t look like that. You have a departure date clearly stated. It is only the port that is not listed.

Hello everyone,

My esta got denied after I traveled twice to the USA this year. So I was thinking about applying for a B2 visa to go in the USA in September for one month. As I'm still young and my work contract will be ending in July, I will have no proof to return back in France after my trip. With that said, I am afraid it gets denied. Plus, this trip would be more to visit my boyfriend that I have been dating since 5 months but I know him since 3 years. I will have enough money for one month and I will be living with him, he'll be my sponsor. He is a police officer. We plan to apply for a visa k1 next year, not now cause we still want to spend time together before starting the process so I was wondering if my b2 visa gets denied, would it affect my visa k1 application in the future?

Also, what would you suggest me for my b2 visa to be approved? Knowing that I still live with my family and I've always returned back to France after my trips, and those trips only lasted 1 and 2 weeks and there was no overstay in the USA for me

Thanks in advance for your help

No, it will not effect any subsequent application.

Hi! So my boyfriend got denied for a tourist visa on December 2016. We applied for a K1 visa and just got approved on June 15, 2018. Will they be asking questions about his previous tourist visa application when he goes for his k1 visa interview?

The I-129F was approved, not the visa.

They may or may not ask about anything on a previous tourist visa application.

Why does it matter of he is or not? He should be honest when answering any questions regardless.

On the visa application that has to be filled out before the interview it says "have you ever been denied a US visa"

The correct answer is yes.  Then it says "explain this answer".  The correct answer is "tourist visa applied XXX date and denied due to XXX reason (whatever the reason was) and leave it at that.

He may or may not be asked about it.  My wife has a denied tourist visa way back but never has been asked about it.

This is an old thread.  Might need to be locked.
