I was on here some time ago. I am always grateful for how much Visa Journey helped me along the way in bringing my now husband. Well since then I have also helped tons of couples online and offline however I am at a hump.

During my time, after the K-1 fiance petition was approved at USCIS. It was then sent to NVC then sent to the accra consulate. You then had to wait for a " Call-In Letter" which was usually sent to the fiance in the US.  You then sent a copy to your fiance in Ghana and they took that letter on a Wednesday to pick up what is called the packet 3/4. which was the required materials for your interview and your interview date. As my case was running through, I noticed the process had changed but never took note of it since it did not concern me at the time. Is there anyone out there who can clearly outline the new process after your case is sent from NVC to Ghana. this is for k-1 fiance visa. Thank you and i am still here for any questions regarding adjustment of status once the fiance gets here into the US. Many thanks.

Hi! That’s a great question - thanks for checking in on it, and congratulations.

We are caught in that stage right now.  We got NOA2 a little over two months ago, and it was sent to Accra in early April. No word from them yet, no letters or emails to either of us. There was some confusion on VJ as to whether we are supposed to wait to be contacted, or schedule online once we complete the DS-160. It seemed, however, that some couples proceeded without receiving the packet 3 email - some never even got it at all. So we went ahead and scheduled online for the end of June. Hopefully we receive the packet by then. If not, at least we have the chance to get the medical done now. It’s very frustrating!

Did your process run smoothly, or did you have some confusion as the process changed?
