Hello!! i am sending my package today!! but I am not sending a certified copy of the marriage certificate, just regular copy.... will that be an issue?

I sent a certified one only because I saw that some people had been RFEd for a certified copy. It is not at all an official requirement, however. And people have been approved with a regular copy too. So you should be fine

well i went there 2 days after my arrival, and 2.5 weeks later we got married so i went back to the office which is now

exactly 2 weeks. so basically 4 weeks total

 

PS: manual verification I am assuming is a letter/confirmation of your request at the SS office

I got a letter while at the SSA stating that ""before we can issue you a Social Security number card, we must verify the document(s) you gave us to show your Alien status with the Federal, State, or local office in the United States that issued the document(s)". That's because they couldn't find me in the SAVE database. They told me it'd take about four weeks. I think normally for social security cards is takes one or two weeks until you have it in your mailbox. And some people seem to even get the number while at the office

Yay! Was the 31st of May the date you sent off the package or the date it reached the USCIS? 

 

I just received a notification that my package was delivered this morning, but I guess the NOA1s may take a few days.

Do you guys mind sharing your cover letters with me?! I am a "little" control freak and so anxious that I'll forget something

@apinchofstella I used the same original template as you, and had some adjustments made to suit my case. I can't find anything that I included but that's missing from your cover letter. I'm not able to upload anything over 37kb for some reason, so unfortunately I can't share it. When I download yours it is over 60kb, so that's odd.

Another question though, for the Advance Parole they want an explanation on a seperate paper why I qualify for travelling. Did you write anything down?

Not mandatory. You can add the justification for your AP but it is not mandatory.

In the middle of part 3, it says if you're not DACA, skip to part 7  

 

I didn't even write when my trip was going to be or how many days. Just wrote unknown, was supposedly fine according to the research I did.

I got a SSN when I was an Aupair in the US. I got married and received the marriage certificate. Can I go and get my name changed on my SSN? Or after I received EAD Card?
