Hello fellow VJ'ers,

I send in my AOS, AP and EAD on may 31st and it arrived at the USCIS on June 1st. so that makes me a June AOS filer haha.

I saw you guys talking about a certified marriage certificate. They only ask for a certified one for your Adjustment of status. With the other forms you can just send a regular copy.( saves you some money).

Hopefully everything will go smoothly for us.

Thanks guys for the help! @Roy Janssen - just a question, I didn't see that I even needed to submit copies of my marriage certificate with the any of the forms other than the I-485. The I-765 (EAD) instructions as far as I'm concerned ask for photocopy of passport page and two identical photos. And the I-131 (AP) instructions asks for photocopy of passport page, two identical photos and I-94. With the I-864 I couldn't find that the marriage certificate was needed either. Or have I missed something?

Me and my fiance have found this blog to be very helpful for us: https://yaztalksalot.wordpress.com/2017/09/28/adjustment-of-status-from-k1-visa/. The girl who writes this blog has already received her combo card for AP/EAD. She included a copy of her marriage license in both the 1-131 and I-765 but if I remember correctly, I don't specifically remember the instruction pages requiring this and as I briefly look over them now, I'm not seeing them specified. So unless I'm not seeing it @Tomalley, I think you should be okay. With that being said though, I am essentially following the way the girl who wrote the blog with how she sent it in and with the evidence she provided just because I'm over the top like that lol.

Yeah. Because I didn’t see the instructions required to send marriage certificate. If I got a RFE, I just send in. Not that bad;)

No you're right. The instructions don't say that you have to add the marriage certificates. I just added them to make sure. so don't worry. everything should be oke.

Gotcha, thank you, that's how I interpreted the instructions too!

Yes sure, I'll pm you this weekend. Thank you! I don't mind control freaking, this is important stuff :D I have actually filled out all the forms, and husband filled out the I-864, so we're almost good to go. I have all the evidence but just printing/copying and making everything orderly will probably take some time too. Plan to have it sent out Monday morning.

By the way, did you have the copy of your marriage certificate certified? If you did, how was it certified? And did you send in anything to prove you already had the medical?

yes i have a certified copy from them (when i dropped off our marriage licence, they had me wait 5 min and gave me all copies and certified right there) so i just had to copy it a bit funny as the paper is about 3 inches longer than normal paper haha

and i also added the medical paper of the vacc's that my doctor sent me when i got their package in the mail.

that's proof enough in my opinion, so hopefully that is good.

sounds good, will send you via email what i promised ;)

yaaay to june filers!

PS: my file got there june 1st, so hope i get my noa1 next week or so :D

N-400: 12/05/2023 (confirmed fingerprints are re-used)

Interview scheduled for: 05/09/2024

Gotcha! Thanks :) I actually researched a bit and saw someone who got an RFE for their marriage license with the EAD application (weird) so I ended up attaching a photocopy to both the EAD and AP applications and then a certified copy to the AOS :D Just to be on the safe side!

Perfect! I attached my vaccination sheet too. And had package sent on its way this evening! In all honesty, I'm sort of excited about having an application being processed again...

Fingers crossed for no RFIEs for any of us :jest:

Did you get a manual verification, too?
