So it looks like i have my interview scheduled before my EAD arriving.

is that normal? has that happened to anyone else?

Very normal. I have even heard that, if your local office is generally considered "quick" they won't even process your EAD/AP since you'll get your GC soon enough.

I had my EAD expedited but I just got approved for the GC two days ago and my AP application just shows "received".

I know, I was surprised it went so quickly after "ready to be scheduled" but everyone here told me our office is quick, so I was the only one surprised :) hope yours happens sooner than later! But at least you can work in the meantime.

I was so stressed out before the actual interview, but it went so smoothly. The only questions the officer asked were biographical (name, address) and when we met. I answered every single question because I was freaking out was overly prepared, and I think she thought it was funny.

Good luck to all waiting--it was definitely not worth the severe heartache I felt in the days prior

I got a RFE in October for EAD, sent back the stuff they asked in November but my case is still in "Request for Initial Evidence Was Mailed". It's been a month since i sent it. Do i need to call them? As the ddl for RFE is in January... Do i just wait or they do loose reply's sometimes?

And my I-485 is still in Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview as of August!

how long did you had to wait for your EAD?

so when they scheduled an interview for me and told me to be on the look out for the mail, is that typically months out? or literally in the upcoming weeks?

San Antonio. but i'm a little confused because I see that people are receiving their interview date and they're months out. so does that mean that the EAD is not going to be worked on until then....

EAD and the GC are two different things and processed at two different offices.

You should have called them 1 week after faxing/mailing the evidence out.

Thanks hoangthaihuyI called them and they did receive my RFE but didn't update it in the system. The agent also said to contact them only if there is no change after 60 days of the received date. So i guess nothing left to do but wait..

Are you referring to my EAD expedite? I requested to expedite at the end of August and received the card three weeks later. I don't know if I would have received the EAD before my interview if I hadn't expedited.

When they scheduled my interview, I got the interview notice in the mail two weeks later, and the interview was for four weeks after that; so it was scheduled six weeks out for me.

Sound weird. If they received the response for the RFIE, you can ask for expedition.
