We got everything by email.  I'm not sure if it's because our case was sent electronically from the nvc or something else.  But my fiance also got an email saying our case was expedited from the nvc, but I've seen others say all electronic file are.

I hope you hear something soon!

This whole process is pretty unpredictable. We had an RFE from USCIS, and most people get a response in less than 2 weeks, and it took about 5 weeks for us to hear anything.

Yeah it's definitely unpredictable. The expedited part is just the verbiage they use. Everyone's says that. Mine did too. My RFE response time was literally one week! Goes to show there's no rhyme or reason. Thank you!! I'm so impatiently waiting!! lol

Believe me, I know the feeling. It's definitely a hurry up and wait, nerve wracking process. I'm currently "patiently" *cough* waiting for my fiance to send me everything for the packet 3. We honestly didn't expect to get it so soon.

I'm sure you'll have yours soon. Oh, and just a side note, I called medisys in Montreal today and was told I need 5 passport style pics for the medical.  Just a heads up in case you go there.

Yes, I read that. I got 10 US Visa photos taken recently to be sure lol. I appreciate you sharing your progress! It helps to know as much as possible. Remember the stuff in Packet 3 is what you need to bring to the interview. You only need 3 things to send the actual packet 3 back to them! I'll be checking back to see when your interview is!!

Really??? I thought I had to send everything via email and then take it to the interview.... also, wondering if anyone knows who we should address this letter of intent to.  Is it still homeland? Or the consulate?

For Packet 3, you only need to send: A color copy of your passport page, your DS-160 confirmation page, and your signed P3 checklist showing you checked off all the things you need to bring to the interview and you email it back to them. It says it right in the Packet 3 email that is all that's required for Packet 3. Take another look at the email. All those documents don't have to be in your hands until you go to your interview! After you send those 3 things for Packet 3, they will send you a Packet 4 email which is when you can schedule your interview :)

As for who to address the letter of intent to marry...good question lol. My FH will be doing ours up tomorrow and we'll have to figure that out too lol. I think we'll probably put "Dear Consulate General of the United States of America" (That's how they address themselves in the Packet 4 email)

I do believe you're right! I just had another look at the email.

I'll definitely be getting that sent off tomorrow. Thanks!

I got packet 4 back within hours! Hopefully you have the same luck! I haven't been able to book my interview yet though, because Montreal currently has no appointments available. I haven't been able to find anything on here that suggests how long that can last. I hope not long! I'm so eager to know the magic date!!
