Has anyone filed for ITIN for their spouse and gotten the passport or documents back as yet? They received mine on Feb 23 2018. Also once they assign the IT IN, typically how long to receive the return. Anyone with past experience on this as well?

We couldn't get a certified copy in our country.. they said they don't do that so had no other choice

I sent my husband passport to Texas along with a letter pleading to return the passport as soon as it was verified, I sent a prepaid self addressed 2 day priority envelope, after getting lost and not having a tracking number update I finally got my husband passport after 3 weeks. I got the ITIN number paper a week after that, and just updated another week that IRS received it and is working on it.

It typically takes 4-5 weeks (assuming all docs are in order).

Thanks... that's to show up on the IRS website right? A little longer to get the passport back?

No, to get the ITIN and the original docs back in the mail.
