Hello Visajourney!

I just wanted to share my experience so far on DCF. These forums have been such a great help and i only think its fair to give back :) So me and my husband have recently just decided that we want to go live in the US and i really didnt know where to begin so i googled like crazy and stumbled across this website and fortunately learned about DCF. So i filled out the I-130 got all the evidence in order and all the translations ( which consisted of my passport, birth certificate, my kids birth certificates proof of living in mexico and my husbands passport) I looked online and got an appointment because i really dont like mailing anything. I prefer things done fast and right lol. So anyways, we went to the monterrey consulate took the package got everything checked out by the officer and went home. It was the 22 of Feb. We got the NoA1 March 5! And 3 days later NoA2! It was so fast i couldnt believe it. I already filled out the DS260 and now i have to establish domicile before i schedule an appointment. But thanks to Visajourney i didnt need a lawyer and i have saved alot of money and time so thank u all who have posted and keep up the good work! Best wishes to all of you out there on a journey ;)

Great Teresa! I will be following you. I have my appointment to turn in the packet on April 3rd here at USCIS in Mexico City. We also have a child, so I am interested in seeing how petitioners with children submit evidence. I am a bit nervous, but confident due to the information from this site. I will be following your story!

Hello RamirezUSA :)

I  took my childrens birth certificates and copiees of thier passports as evidence of bonafide marrige, well besides the marriage certificate :) . But i have 3 children so i dont know if that makes a diference. I went in person and the officer congratulated me on how prepared i was and said that since i had children already that they werent going to take any of the photos i had brought. I also took alot of evidence of living in mexico but she only wanted the IMSS insurance and my dual nationality. I was approved that day. It says on the NoA 1. Also take a copy of your spouses passport. Good luck to you!

Yup! Us too we didn't need a lawyer. We were considering doing it via immigration lawyer/agency but decided to do it ourselves when we found out about DCF

Funny thing is, we found out about DCF because somebody left a comment about it on the immigration lawyer/agency that we were looking at.
