Hi @sv80! Yes, it almost certainly is a system glitch. I'm just using it as an excuse to make contact with them again.

Is your timeline updated?

A week ago I received the notification that my file has been forwarded to the local field office. Then I called the customer service 800 number and the officer said that she can't see that and she doesn't think that my cases has been forwarded to local office at all. She said your case is still with CSC.  Then I put in a service request regarding my case being outside normal processing time and I just got an email that "This office cannot assist you with your inquiry as your application is being processed at the National Benefit Center" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This just DOESN"T MAKE SENSE.

Any thoughts ?

I would not read too much into a response like this to any of your inquiries until you get an interview letter. Good luck, hope you will hear from them soon.

Thanks, I am still cautiously optimistic, my expectations remain low, I do not expect to be approved on the spot, if they do, great, I will pass the interview, but they may tell me they have to review my 751 before they can approve 400, I will have additional and ongoing evidence handy as well in my attempt to maximize the chances of dual approvals on the spot. Will keep you guys in the loop for sure. If I got my interview date, I am sure yours is not far away, hang in there. Good luck.

Well, 60+ days since my last inquiries (60 days since the senator's request, and an extra week since my service request), I've contacted the senator's office again to have them ask again. I also put in a new service request myself, indicating that I'd seen the update on the Case Status page about "my case is received at the local office" and still haven't heard anything.

...just this squeaky wheel over here...

You contacted your senator's office again!?  :wow::wow::wow:   Sounds like you're doing everything you can!

I would not bet on it, but I am a bit luckier in terms of the time I had to wait for the interview letter.

I just realized that this group is the longest group I've been following on VisaJourney!  :wow::wow::wow:

I thought the I-130 group was the longest, but I only followed the group for 6 months.  :reading:

It felt like the longest since I was outside the US and was super eager to start a new life in the US!

Hi there I remember those days when this group used to be so active. Good old days. I am praying that you end up this process pretty soon successfully, regards.

You need to create a new "account" on the other site - it's the site where, if you'd filed your N-400 online, you would have done that. But you should be able to add all your case files to it.

Weird... I think I used the same email for both systems. You're right, though, there's not a lot of difference between the two sites that I've seen. Since I did apply online for N-400, it's been cool to see them upload the letters so I get them several days before they arrive in the mail. Other than that, so far pretty much the same. My I-751 on the "new site" says received by my local office on Feb 26 (same day I had my bio for N-400) and the "old site" got another update that said it was received by local office on Mar 5. But I think that's all just system weirdness that doesn't mean anything.

I'm hoping to hear in the next few days from Senator Flake's office... maybe they'll at least tell me whether my file is actually at the Tucson office or still at CSC.

I actually use same email. The new system is the updated one, it's database is more update, you can see the site is under another sub-domain vs the previous case tracking site.

I got an courtesy email to keep me update this morning:

Well, bad news for me... the service request I submitted last week came back with the response that my file is stuck in the black hole known as "background checks." There's absolutely no good reason for it, but there's also absolutely nothing to be done. I'm so frustrated! I got an FBI fingerprint check last summer to teach in schools and it came back in 2 days, but USCIS can't run a background check in 18.5 months? Really??!!

Thanks for letting me vent. I'm sure I'll be more philosophical about it tomorrow.
