This is the continuation thread for

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/604307-i-751-august-2016-filers/

which was closed because of its large size.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Not yet... next week is 60 days after the senator’s inquiry about my case so I’m going to leave it to them to find out what’s up.

We filed on Aug 22, 2016 to have remove conditions for my husband. Anyway, we are beyond a month outside of processing time (which is expected because we did file N400). However, I wanted to create an erequest anyway. So when I enter the number on the paper, it says the form does not match the number. Then when I check the stats below, it said they receive form CRI-89. Should it not said I751. What does yours say guys?

Thanks a lot for your help.

On August 22, 2016, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number WAC***********, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by September 21, 2016, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

The message you're seeing is normal. USCIS generates (or at least it did when we filed - it seems like they may not be doing that anymore) a CRI-89 number when they sent your biometrics.

I think, though, that when you file an e-request, you need to use the I-751 number (the one on your NOA (extension) letter).

The number you've been tracking is the CRI-89 number and if I recall correctly, you can't do a service request with that number because the option isn't available in the "form" dropdown.

Both numbers will start with WAC, but the numbers will be different. Try with I-751 and the number on your extension letter.

Not yet... next week is 60 days after the senator’s inquiry about my case so I’m going to leave it to them to find out what’s up.

I wonder if USCIS has combined your I-751 and N-400 applications since it's highly unlikely that they'll invite you for an interview unless you get selected for a QA purpose.  :reading:

If they have combined your I-751 and N-400 applications, your case will probably be processed faster than mine since your field office has a much faster processing timeline!  :dancing:

Maybe... of course I’d hoped that they were almost done with my dang i751. And Tucson isn’t all that much faster than Seattle, normally. But maybe I’ll get lucky with the online filing. Or with the senator’s next request.

After more than 18 months ,my case was received at my local office.  I guess, to be combined with my N400, from which I have not heard  anything in more than 6 months. This shows that on-line fliers (my case) aren´t necessarily processed faster. It depends on the filed office workload. For now, the estimated completion time of my case at SF field office  is August 2018, one year after applying  to N400, and two years after applying to I-751, respectively! Simply inhumane! I wish I were Melania Trump´s  father!

A week ago I received the notification that my file has been forwarded to the local field office. Then I called the customer service 800 number and the officer said that she can't see that and she doesn't think that my cases has been forwarded to local office at all. She said your case is still with CSC.  Then I put in a service request regarding my case being outside normal processing time and I just got an email that "This office cannot assist you with your inquiry as your application is being processed at the National Benefit Center" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This just DOESN"T MAKE SENSE.

Any thoughts ?

I think I read somewhere that if they’re really going to send your case to the local office for interview or whatever, it goes through NBC first. But who knows?

Well, 60+ days since my last inquiries (60 days since the senator's request, and an extra week since my service request), I've contacted the senator's office again to have them ask again. I also put in a new service request myself, indicating that I'd seen the update on the Case Status page about "my case is received at the local office" and still haven't heard anything.

...just this squeaky wheel over here...
