Restriction regarding traveling to different country before coming to US as new immigrant

Hi All,

 

My wife got approved for immigration VISA. She wants to travel  Bhutan (she can get visa on arrival) before US with her parent for 3-4 days before coming to US. Is there any restriction about traveling different country before coming to US for the first time?

I don't see any issues. The only travel that might cause an issue is to certain high-risk areas that raise security concerns.

Hi.

 

I am a K1 visa holder and will be traveling from India to France (Vacation with my fiancé) and would be directly flying from France to US right after. I faced no issues regarding this while applying for a Schengen Visa and do not think theres any such restriction.

Thanks for your input. Just don't want anymore headache after going through year long immigrant process

There should not an issue.  While my wife’s application was in process, I went to Bangladesh and went to Singapore with my wife.  I had no issue and no question was asked even after it was listed in her visa approval.  If they ask questions, she can answer accordingly.
