I applied in September 2017, i didn't wait for my i-751 to be approved before applying for citizenship. When i went for my citizenship interview in August, i was told they would have to reschedule the interview because they wanted a more qualified officer to interview us. They told me to come with my husband. We were interviewed in September and asked to submit supporting documents, we sent in the documents and my i-751 was approved but I am still waiting to be scheduled for N400 interview.

the 13 days came and went and the estimated dated turned to 'taking longer than usual' and now nothing at all.

Hey all, an update into my situation. I had the interview August 1, 2018, was asked for additional documents, which were submitted Aug 15, 2018. The bi-weekly USCIS update emails state they last took action on August 27, 2018 (probably scanned the documents into the system). Today, it is over 90 days and I have not heard back. I called in the USCIS Contact Center and the Level 1 agent told me the file had been assigned November 15, 2018 to an officer. I insisted on opening the service request, so I was transferred to the Level 2 Officer who opened a service request on my behalf. The Level 2 Officer also stated that the case was active, which I think means it is being worked on. I should be hearing back on the service request within three weeks. I hope there is some progress before the time period for the service request is up.

 

 

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.
8/1/2014: AOS and IV fees invoiced.
8/2/2014: AOS and IV fees paid.
8/5/2014: AOS and IV fees status changed to paid.
8/6/2014: AOS and IV packages mailed, completed and submitted DS-260.
8/7/2014: AOS and IV packages delivered to NVC.
8/8/2014: AOS and IV packages put into the system (scanned).
9/20/2014: Get the 60-day email.
9/30/2014: Case Complete!
10/3/2014: Interview scheduled for November 7.
10/20/2014: Medical appointment.

11/07/2014: Interview.

11/29/2014: POE JFK.

Hi... what additional documents did they ask for?  Also, what is your priority date? 

t's good you are being proactive with your case.. hopefully you hear from them soon.

Hello All,

 

I am new here, just to share my experience with my N400 interview (I applied in San Antonio, TX)

I applied December 2017. About the experience read below:

We got there 20 minutes before my appointment. Wait for like 30-40 minutes and they called my name, me and my wife walked to the door and the officer stopped her saying  that he only needed me.

On our way to his office, i told him "are you sure my wife dont need to be here? I have a pending I751", and for my surprise, he seemed surprised like "oh you do? let me check your file", he went over the papers and said that i was right and went back to the waiting room to get my wife.

He made 2-3 questions about our marriage, confirming address, marriage date, and some stuff about family. After that we moved to the N400 interview(what surprised me was that my wife was there the whole time, most of the interviews experiences says that they tell the wife to leave after the i751 interview is over). He even joked asking for me to put my chair a little be farther from my wife to answer the civic questions.

He went over the civic questions, i got them all right(i dont remember now which ones he asked), the we went over the writing(dont remember what he asked me to wrote either BUT i remember struggling with my handwriting to write on that iPad).

After that he made me sign 3 or 4 different stuff on the iPad. Printed a paper saying that I was recommended for approval, congratulated me, told me that i would receive a oath letter in about 4 weeks, we shook hands and we left.

Next morning got 2 e-mails, changing on my case, checked online, the n400 says "We approved your application" and the I751 says "Case Was Approved"

Now I am waiting on the Oath letter.

I am seeking for your experience with Norwegian Airline. I have i751 pending plus N400 also pending. I am on the study abroad program and heading back to the State in December 17th. I heard that Norwegian Airline is not familiar with i551 stamp (this information is 3 years old, I read it online). 

Has anyone here traveled with Norwegian Air and with their i551 recently? Please let me know your experience.
