Hi you all!

I'm going to finish my K1 process soon and I am already looking foward to the AoS phase. I have my vaccination record from when I was a child (in Spain it is like a small book). I would like to know, if someone can help me, if it is possible to have the vaccines at my home country or if I have to receive them in the US. Also, in the medical before the K1 interview (I haven't do it yet), do they provide vaccines?

Thank you so much for your help!!

Edit : Would be interesting to translate my vaccines record too for when I file for AoS in the States? Thanks!

If the US consulate approved physician honors your vaccination record then you are good. If not, you will have to have them again (or if you are lacking in any of the vaccines). You will be given a form called DS-3025 after you complete your medical exam which you will need for your AOS application. As long as you have "complete" in the DS-3025 you can use this for the AOS process. The validity is usually 1 year from when your medical was performed. You should be able to file the AOS within this 1 year validity to use the overseas medical report.

Once you are past the 1 year validity, you will need to get a form I-693, which requires you to visit a Civil Surgeon here in the US.

January 22, 2022 - Case transferred

@agnesita84 Is from Spain and had to jump through some hoops to get that DS3025... Maybe she has some words if advise :D

You will not need to translate them - the DS-3025 form will have them all on it. It's very important that it's done correctly and that you do get the DS-3025. It will save you a lot of headaches when sending the AOS if you have all your vaccines done in your home country and recorded correctly on the form.

They should provide it. Make sure that you have this form before leaving the country! :D Some clinics are very lax and the applicant has to follow-up to get this form.

Yes - remember to ask for a copy of this form to include with your adjustment of status. In our case, the  (Belgian) doctor did not know to do this and we ended up filing adjustment of status without a copy of the form - luckily, the form made it to our file since we were approved without any problems.
