Please HELP! US mailing address but living abroad, where to file?

Thanks for the great feedback. Yeah, in general DCF is not available unless there is a DCF office, but there are a few exceptions for emergencies as noted above. We hardly ever get (successful) feedback on that route as it's a pretty tough bar. I'm glad to hear that things went well for you.
