Several people were reportedly shot and killed on Sunday after a “mass shooting” at a Texas church, police said.

The shooting was reported at First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, which is about 35 miles east of San Antonio.

Constable Thomas Silvas from Precinct 1 in Wilson County confirmed to Fox News that officials were working on removing the bodies, but did not specify the number of people who were dead or wounded.

We have had a problem with this type of homegrown terrorism for years. It kills more than any other type, but somehow we find ways to justify and pretend gun violence is a sporadic occurrence.

It's all just strawman after strawman arguments from the NRA and their supporters. They'll mention cars, knives, surgeries gone bad, to do anything to deflect the attention away from guns. They honestly think people are collateral damage in situations like this as long as it preserves their right to own a gun. It's complete lunacy, the problem is staring them in the face and they refuse to acknowledge it.

Anything to mock the death of tens of people killed by gun violence. There appears to be a parallel between the state of mind of the shooters and those mocking the dead.

I'm not opposed to guns, but on the other hand it's disturbing and sad that kids now have "intruder drills" at elementary schools.
