That is just not Right / Fair to the people who are actually using the correct " legal " way to get their Citizenship..

I will bring this up on my InfoPass next week..thanks !

I agree. I do not want to be in a position to "rock the boat" in the event an IO gets annoyed or cranky and sends a denial instead of an interview notice. I would like to believe something like that wouldn't happen but I now realize, anything can happen.

Joining this topic as I am another filer who will be going to Montgomery for my interview.. K1 AOS..

I have called twice. The first time I was told that my case was at the FO and I should receive an interview date around the beginning of March. Raised a SR and got nothing 30 days later so I called again. The woman on the end of the phone just kept repeating that I would have to wait and if I don’t hear anything by May 15th this year I can call again (PD May 15th 2017). She said my case was still at the NBC. So who do I believe? Conflicting answers and the latter IO just got agitated and refused to tell me why somebody can be ‘available’ to send a friend’s case from the NBC to Kansas within a month of her filing (she got approved 2 months after filing) but they can’t be ‘available’ to send mine 🤔

She just said that my case will wait there until somebody is available to send it to my local FO.. so basically what I knew already.

I put in another SR on Feb 24th and they have 8 days left to respond. So far nothing has changed and it is still being ignored even though the first IO said it rarely happens that SRs are ignored. Third time this has happened to me now and I am getting seriously frustrated.

I have my EAD but all I want from the SR is to know exactly where in the Country my case is! Is that so much to ask? Sigh..

Hi Kitu,

I'm so surprised that we live in the same city and have the similar timeline.I filed my AOS in July 2017,did my Biometrics in August 2017,received my combo card in Oct 2017,after that nothing updated.

I just submitted a request ticket today, still waiting. any update, let us share in Visajourney!

I went for an infopass appointment at the beginning of March because my PD is April 2017 and was told as of Sept 1 2017 I was waiting for interview. When I went they  did say the office is understaffed and flooded with DACA cases. My case is supposedly on their "pick list" waiting for it to pulled for an interview. They also claimed that when Montgomery opened that all case files were sent there. Sounds like we all get a cookie cutter answer.

Went For my Info Pass Appointment Today and as expected they told me that my case is still in line and they are procressing cases Feb END 2017.

I still got 2-3 months for the FO to procress April's PD Cases .

They mentioned that the Office is understaffed and the Processing times on the Web Site is incorrect  and they are going to be changing it .

When Asked about Ellis VS NBC cases they said that it does not matter what the case type is , they will be processed as PD order.

I know everyone in here is waiting for a while, but it is very frustrated everytime when I login to my uscis account.

In December, the estimated case completion time was 1 month (Feb). Then I login in early March, the estimated case completion time was 1 month again, but which meant April. Today I login again, the estimated case completion time is 4 months (July) and estimated wait time is 2 months.

Seriously, everytime I login, the estimated time is getting longer and longer. It seems it never sees the end

I have asked for Montgomery Al to be added to the Local Cis office on this site, so we can see time frames, but to no avail has it been done.
