I was able to go and work as Butcher in Canada this year but sad to say that my work permit was refused by the visa officeer at the Canadian Embassy here in our country Philippines due to my previous  finished case way back year 1998. I was sentenced at the year 2001 for the crime of serious physical injury forbrauling incident. I was not put in jail because I applied immidiately for probation and it was granted after my conviction. My probation was terminated/ dismissed by the honorable Judge in the year 2003. My only concern is why is that I was refused by the visa officer regarding my case which is already finished and it is almost I think 19 years has already past? The reason of the visa officer on my refusal was due to that I was convicted. I was wondering about the decision because according to the Canadian law that; after 5 years had past since your casie was dismissed/ terminated, you can already allowed to enter Canada. The embassy emailed me last month of May this year that I will provide my supporting documents regarding on my case such as police report and court documents. I immidiately completed to submit all my supporting documents to the embassy which the visa officer wants me to provide before the 15 days given time line to me. However; sad toy say that my next email that I recieved from the embassy was a decision of the visa officer which contains a refusal letter. It says there that according to the visa officer; I did not meet their requirements which the cause of my refusal. I keep on bothering myself because I don't know why I was refused by the visa officer although I provide all what they want me to submit at their embassy.. Can anybody have an idea or have the same status of mine who have already solve this kind of problem? Kindly please advise for a help Sir/Ma'am. Thank you and best regards...
