I am in the process to start a 601 waiver for my partner for a cimt . I know every case is different and it also depends on the embassies but I am confused . I search in google and it says it takes 4-6 months for a waiver to be process but I see on here some people say 8 months one year even 18 months . When I started my k1 visa last year I search on google the time frame and it was accurate to process my k1 . I was just wondering what could cause a waiver to take longer to be process or if with the new trump administration has it effected the waivers .

Im on the same boat as you, they told me it could take from 1 year to 2 years in the worse case scnenario , but then I was reading that since June 2016 its been taking less like 4 to 6 months best case scenario, do you have any news on the status of your perdon?

That’s music to my there thank you for replying . I’m in the process of doing the waiver . It’s a lot of paper work and stuff very stressful but in godwiling the waiver should be sent in December or January . 2 years that’s too long who said that ??

Every case is different so honestly we shouldn't relay on other people's experiences unless they are similar to yours , but some cases are pretty difficult and they've to keep appealing until they get it and that can take a while, if you don't have criminal records then just chill and keep processing everything , my dad is meeting with the lawyer on  Wednesday , if you want send me a private message with your number if you have WhatsApp and we can exchange experiences :) in very nervous as well

Last I saw 7 months or so seemed to be norm, now they go through the lock box there is not the variation you used to see.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Where you send the waiver packet for consideration.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

It'll go to Nebraska because that is the designation location for i601 the processing time looks to be about 13 months but it may vary

Does it depend on the issue and the country of residence of the fiancé or spouse ? Does that effect anything in the waiver time frame

Issue may have an impact.

A complicated case may take longer.
