I know its formally for statistical data, but I personally don't agree that race should matter.

I agree - to me it's completely foreign as to why such data even needs to be collected since in my home country it never ever would be.

I have the same experience the first time I had to fill out a form I was kind of shocked, and in my case it doesn't even make any sense cause I don't look white, more Hispanic or Asian, which i'm not either. But being from a certain area put me in the white box  :whistle:
