Hi folk,

 

I'm new to this portal. Just received interview schedule from NVC. The interview will be in Singapore. Do I need to  "Register for a courier service"? Please suggest.

All eligible applicants must complete the following tasks before their visa interview. Detailed instructions for

  1. Complete a medical examination with a U.S. embassy-approved physician. Every person applying for a visa is required to have a medical examination and submit the results on the day of the interview.
  2. Register for a courier service (if required) and read the interview instructions for your location.
  3. Gather documents required for the interview. You must bring to the interview the original versions of all civil documents and certificates submitted to NVC. You may need to get updated financial documents and police certificates.
  4. Visit the embassy’s website at usembassy.gov for additional information.

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

Interview Scheduled: Jan 2nd - I managed to get someones canceled appointment the very same day my case status turned to Ready.

Biometrics: Mexico City Dec 27th Medical: Mexico City Dec 28th

Case says READY but consulate says case is not in system, I jumped the gun and booked an interview but they say its invalid until I receive the letter so I might have to cancel it.

Appointment Letter: Flew to Juarez just to get this, its actually 2 letters you need.

Interview Day: Jan 2nd   Interview Result: APPROVED

Tracking Number Received: Via email notice and website the afternoon of Jan 4th    Visa Delivered: Friday Jan 5th Mexico City

USCIS Notice - Green Card mailed: 3/28/18

Any mailing address where someone will be available to acknowledge receipt of the parcel (contains your passport and immigration packet).

Even I am confused that part 😞Still I am unable to get the exact answer..immigration packet is supposed to send by NVC to embassy right ?or NVC will send packet to us...for what purpose we need to register courier service ?to collect our visa  passport after interview  or some other else things..I will be thankful if someone will answer it 😊

Yes, they keep your passport and will send it with the visa, as soon as you get it you can enter the States.

You register for a courier service to return your passport with visa, and immigration packet to you after interview.  Don't bother registering until you have an interview date and your file is with the embassy.  (Ceac will say "ready")

I'm doing CR1 and I got a message today almost 3 weeks later that it was sent on Sept 1st, NVC still doesn't have it in their system.

From what I've seen in others timelines, NVC gets it two weeks later and will notify a few days after that cause they need to scan it into their system still.

It looks like some people have it delivered to the shipping facility and pick it up there, maybe to be sure its delivered.

Yes you need to. They just wanna know where you want your passport/visa to be delivered, e.g Amarex...

 

I am going to have interview here in Singapore too on 25 Oct. When is your interview? Your IR1/CR1 or K1?

04/19/2017: Email from NVC

04/19/2017: DS-261 unlocked

04/21/2017: AOS paid

04/25/2017: IV paid

06/14/2017: Sent AOS Package

06/21/2017: Scan date

08/23/2017: Case Complete (9 weeks)

08/24/2017: Received automatic checklist via email from NVC to bring proof of domicile during interview. Still waiting for Interview Appointment.

08/30/2017: Received email from NVC telling that they will be schedule interview.

09/06/2017: Received email from NVC regarding Interview Date

10/25/2017: Interview Date

09/14/2017: Emailed US Embassy to cancel our interview and postpone as wife is pregnant. USEM mentioned to contact them 3 weeks prior to intended date of appointment.

In our case, they didn't deliver it to the home, but it was delivered to the courier office where it was to be picked up.  It probably varies from country to country.

 

You put in your city, etc, and it will give an option (or options) of which courier will handle the visa.  They contract with services, so it will be predetermined who delivers it.

 

It just takes a few minutes, go to the link they provide (if I recall they provided a link).

Look for a web link in your letter, or pull up your case on the website.  If you come up empty let me know.  I remember going in to the website where I paid fees and everything. I will look if your letter doesn't say what web link to use.
