Should I be worried? My fiance has her interview today and she has been in the Montreal consulate for 2 1/2 hours . I have not heard anything yet. Is this normal?

I'm not familiar with Montreal Consulate. However, I wish good luck to both of you!

It's normal to be worried about a partner going the the interview for any amount of time. :P As for how long it's been since you heard from her, it does seem a little on the high side but nothing crazy or warranting of extra concern.

You dont have to worry because once they enter the consulate they will have to go through a thorough security check and the there's a waiting for document collection where you will be called a a window and allll your documents will be collected like the Affidavit of Support, Police certificates, etc and one the person collects all your document you will again have to wait for your turn (have to look at the screen for your token number to appear) and then you will have to go to the VO....sometimes alllll this will take more than 3-4 hours... If the appointment says 1:00pm it doesnt mean you will be interviewed at 1:00pm, it means the security will let you inside the consulate at exactly 1:00pm and what happens inside will take easily 2-5 hours because you will have to wait for people who's appointment was wayyyy before yours. so don't worry :) just chill :) and wish you good luck to you both and do update us about the outcome of the interview :)
