Well you can try calling but they might tell you you're in normal processing time until the update the processing times on the website, they usually do that around the 15th of the month.

you should have ur NOA2 by now it think is better to call NVC cuz is way to long should it be 9 months for spouse :(

Calling the NVC won't do anything when the petition is still at the USCIS.

Nebraska is not affected by the hurricane at all.

You can try downloading the USCIS app, in the nearby section enter your LIN number and see if there are others with the same date still awaiting approval.

Im really new to this so im learning as i go. The app is helpful. Thank you for the tip.

If it says " status was received "

Have they started looking at the case yet or is it still sitting in line?

My husband applied for i130 in Jan and we got the notice on Jan 12 that they received it.  It just seems such a long time already.

Our lawyer has been saying oct I should be all ready, but we havnt passed this i130 petition yet.

First of all NOA1 is not aapprcst means all the documents are in order

NOA2 and NCV stage meanses and filing out forms for visa applicaiton and affadivit of support

and getting criminal investigation NVC (at least in 2015 they did this way ) you will need to support the I 864 with income verification of last 3 years (most of us get tax transcripts from IRS (other ways may be accepted but IRS transcripts are the best)

we were in Nebraska for 9 months and then transfered to Missouri for faster processing (it was there an additional 5 months)

you can expect 12 to 18 months to get to interview and that is the embassy is the only place that actually can approve visa

good luck

we all know the wait is a heartbreaker

You won't know they're looking at it unless you get an RFE, you're next contact should be NOA2.

You should get something by the end of the month, Nebraska was backed up due to the rush of applications in Nov/Dec.

Mine took 8 months, should have been 6
