The NVC isn't involved with K-1 visas. All that happens to a K-1 at the NVC is that it is assigned a number and then sent to the relevant embassy. All over in a matter of days. Spousal visas are immigrant visas so the NVC process is much more involved. NVC doesn't handle non-immigrant visas other than assigning the case number to K-1s.

Be be glad you don't have to deal with the NVC

Timeline in brief:

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

I highly doubt that the new administration would speed things up. If anything, Trump wants to keep out as many people as possible.

Really?  Then why didn't he stop ALL immigration?  It is well within his authority to do so if he deemed necessary.

Think about what you typed.....does it make sense or is it just more "I hate Trump" #######?  Our President Trump has no reason to "keep out as many people as possible"...some of you people have been watching too much MSNBC.

I did not say that he would stop all immigration. But if you listen to his rhetoric, he is not a supporter of immigrants.

The President has checks and balances and so does not have full authority to stop all immigration.

Your head is probably in a hole somewhere if you have not heard what Trump has said.

He is trying to stop ILLEGAL immigration and better protect residents of the US........Maybe YOU haven't listened.

Do you have examples, or are just blowing smoke like the MSM?

If that is the case, then he certainly would not expedite the process. It would slow down the process inorder to better screen applicants. Certainly, unwanted people could make it through the cracks if the process were expedited.

Does that make sense?
