We got our NOA1 last May 12

Did you have your NOA2?

Got ours May 8, 2017. No NAO2 yet. Are we checking the right website? I go to USCIS and click in check status and put in the receipt number that begins with 3 letters? we are growing anxious because we would like to have a wedding. We can t plan anything without knowing anything.

I've seen from April filers,

that it takes 140-150 days for the approval since there are hundreds or thousands Applications..., let's just have more patience

They get around 4,000-4,500 I-129Fs per month on average.

That's even more,

yes I understand now why it takes a lil more time . The officers or other USCIS employee are probably having a thorough evaluation on every single application.

Lets just wait and hope for the best.

Thanks for your update.

One of the most difficult embassies? that s not promising! why and how does one know what embassies are unfriendly? what are expedites?

Yes, Egypt also is a difficult Embassy. Most K1 visa are put through AP. We waited 8 months for our NOA2. so dont be worried that you are at 3 or 4 months :)

There's some luck involved, sure. There's no method to make it go faster...just be complete to avoid an RFE and hope the person that takes your case is quick about it. People that get them "way" faster are usually expedites. The rest are just lucky.

I get what you're saying, but things happen. December may be alright, but it also may not be. You're going through one of the most difficult embassies, and extended AP is not uncommon. This isn't to scare you...just to keep an open mind and not to spend money you aren't willing to lose until the visa is in hand.

hey @geowrian is there a place here on VJ that rates the embassy based on the visa being applied to?

Yup. There is a filter on the embassy/consulate reviews page.
