URGENT: Interview today at Memphis; But Memphis office is closed.

What to do? It's not closed today because of weather. It's just closed on all Friday. I'm gonna leave for Memphis in 1 hour and its' a 4 hours drive. Someone please tell me what to do. The interview letter clearly says Friday Sep 1, 2017. Memphis Office.

Did you see online that it was closed, or you called the office and an automated message said it was closed?

Only because I'm thinking if you read about it on the internet, it's possible the online information is outdated...in that case you'd be better off showing up because you never know...

If your letter specifically says this date though, I'd be inclined to go anyway.

I read the above link as more the "visiting hours" portion only...thinking maybe on Fridays they are closed to walk-ins, biometrics and info passes, but still open to those with actual interview appointments?  Just thinking outloud here...

 

OP, as I suggested too, you'd be better off showing up.  If it is closed, then on Monday call and request an L2 officer about the date on the interview letter and what happened when you got to the office.

When did you get the letter?

Did you find out it was closed today? If not, then why did you wait on the last day to address that?

There's a field App Support Center in Nashville. That opens at 8am. So does USCIS phone support. I'm gonna call at 8am. My wife is gonna line up at the Nashville office at 8am. Maybe they can tell us if it's in Memphis or Nashville. If we can get an answer by 8:30, we can still make it to Memphis office just in time if there's no traffic. I'm suck an idiot for not calling USCIS to confirm interview date and time beforehand. I though there was no reason since the interview letler clearly states what it states.

I called today about weather related reason. I had no reason to doubt the interview letter. It clearly says date and time today and Memphis. I should have called earlier. I cant' go back in time. I feel like an idiot now.

That's what I'm gonna do. On the way, I'll call USCIS. Hopefully cellhphone signal will be okay. Maybe the interview is in Nashvillle. The office in Nashville is open today. By mistake they put Memphis. But up untill now, none of the USCIS letter ever had mistake. If nothing else, I'm gonna still go to Memphis. IF office closed, I'll call today from there and ask to speak to L2 and ask what happened and what should I do next.

You're not an idiot---you went by what USCIS's own letter said, so that makes sense to not doubt them at that point.  At least right now you have a game plan, which is what's important.

Nashville Support Center doesn't see people without appointment. So I cannot just line up there at 8:am and ask them. I'm gonna go ahead and leave for Memphis. On the way, my wife will call USCIS and try to get L2 support guy and see if they can tell us if the interview is in Nashville or Memphis. 

 

Everyone getting interview make sure you call several days before your interview and confirm date, time, location. Don't be like me.
