Hi San Francisco filers, below is my timeline.  Almost 5 months after being in line.  If you filed in 2017, would you mind adding your timeline.  It looks like some February files have scheduled interviews.  Thanks.

I have looked at my friends' cases: both of them was scheduled on 05/05/2017 and their interview dates were exactly 1 month and 4 days from the notification, which was 06/09/2017.

I believe @JoeSchmoe2017's interview was scheduled on 08/23, I expect that his interview will fall on 09/27.

Painless and pleasant. Even security guys were friendly. The interview letter said to allot 2 hours for the appointment. When I checked in, there was only three of us in the waiting area, all called within five minutes of arriving.

When it was my turn, the IO did the Civics Test first. A total relief to be done with the most nerve-wracking part of the interview early on. She read the questions from a piece of paper which was already filed in my binder. They do not think and choose the questions to ask you right there and then. After I passed the exam, we proceeded to review my application, just to make sure that nothing changed. We caught a typo on one my travel dates (2106 instead of 2016). I completely blanked when asked for my current address, which lightened the mood a bit because the IO laughed and told me to relax. Hard part was over.

We got to talk when she showed me out, and I found out that they normally have 10 citizenship interviewed scheduled a day, and I was her 8th (at 1PM). I was out of there by 1:30 PM.

Just had my interview today and got recommended for approval.

People are really nice and efficient there.

I would just recommend you go at least 30/45min prior to your interview time. I know it says do not come too early on the letter but I got there 40min prior and there were a huge line to enter the building. Most people were not there for naturalization since the waiting room on the 2nd floor was almost empty. Also, make sure you enter on Sansome St and not Washington St. (both entrance had huge lines, I went to the one listed on my interview notice).

Good luck to all of you!

Hi pknick! Congratulations on passing the interview! The oath taking went really well, I saw a lot of people who, like me, got emotional during the oath of allegiance. There were also a few around me who didn't care much for the program and just wanted to get their certificate and get on with their lives. LOL.

I received my oath letter a week after the interview. If you go to Paramount Theater's website, they have post a schedule for USCIS Citizenship Ceremonies, which will help you estimate when you might take your oath.

My oath was scheduled at 1:15 PM. The theater was right off 19th BART station, making the commute convenient. There was a line to the entrance when I got there, but since I didn't arrive too early (I was there at 12:45pm), I didn't want too long. The ceremony started on time, and ended just a little after 3:00PM.

A couple of things to note:

- You can apply for a passport on the same day as your oath using the grey envelope they gave you during your interview.

- You can also register to vote after the ceremony.

Overall, it was a really great experience with a lot of smiling people, generally happy to have gotten through all that paperwork.

Another April 2017 filer, hoping to have my interview in October as I am pregnant and due in December so don't want to go too close to my due date and would be such a pia to do it after she is here.

Does anyone know if you can still bug USCIS if you go past 90 days after being put in line for interview?
